It was all going well at the start of the week. For a laugh we pulled a fast day on a Monday, and managed to completely avoid punching anyone in the face.

Week one done. And what a week its been.
As the week starts with a Monday lunch beer down the Abel, its clear the El Food Brothers were taking this serious, as we only had a half.
As part of our El Fat to El Fit feature the brothers decided to present our feelings on the first week of the 5 and 2 diet independently.
I have decided to run through what I had and what calories that totalled and generally how I was feeling.

As you know, we like our food, and we we’ve been to some of the best places in the Northern Quarter to find it. But eating all the pies, burgers, full english‘s and pizza that we do, has taken its toll. Even venturing into the world of Vegan food has not helped. Do you know what Yelp is? Neither did I until very recently. Yelp feels like some sort of secret society that no one talks about. With people being given the title of Yelp Elites, and Secret Elite events, it doesn’t help shift the ‘No Homers’ club vibe.
If you can’t beat then, join them. Its with that thought that I end up applying for a place at the ‘The Pizza Off’. Described as a pizza judging event, I’m initially picturing some sort of Homer Simpson at the Chilli Off vibe and dreams of a judges hat with a giant pizza on it fill my head.
