Buoyed by our Twitter interactions with Tusk , and confused by the price of fries at Common we decide its time to hit the Tusk.
Its a sunny day in Manchester and spirits are high, there are lots of hipsters wandering round taking instagrams, so we join in.
Cheap eat Monday this week, which is a thing I’ve just made up, is courtesy of Gabbots, in the Arndale centre. Although it says it has a new name, the plastic bag (no charge) it came in says Gabbots, so Gabbots it is.

And so we find our selves in The Blue Pig, offering 50% off selected meals, which on closer inspection, all come from the same magical animal that is the pig.
“Is it too early to go back to Dive?”
The answer was no. Its pissing it down in Manchester, and at least we know the way to there. We agree to meet at the back, but neither of us can agree where that is. We eventually meet at the same entrance as yesterday, and nearly drown in a puddle covered by a wooden board.
With the promise of a Giant Cock burger, the plan is set for a visit to Yard and Coop (aka Chicken Corner)
We head down for 12:30, and watch as a large group of oddly young looking people enter ahead of us. We note this isn’t looking good, but we have cock on the mind, so head on in.
